G1X is pleased to be able to participate under NanRise Pte Ltd on the collaboration with the Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) in Singapore on a joint pilot study on the climate risk impacts on healthcare facilities and services in Singapore. The collaborative initiative includes the use of AI/Machine Learning models to develop predictive tools for climate risks impacts on the delivery of services, surge of illness and diseases infection, rise in service demand as well as accessibility to emergency services. Dr Stanley Yip, CEO of G1X and NanRise will be leading this pioneering study as one of the co-Principal Investigators, leveraging upon his in-depth experience and expertise in climate risk assessment and adaptation, city information modelling, AI/machine learning and data analytics in climate change. G1X has been set up as the research arm of NanRise Pte Ltd, a spin off from the Nanyang Technological University NTU Singapore focusing on sustainability technology development in Asia. NTU is a strategic shareholder of NanRise.

Dr Stanley Yip Delivered Capacity Building Course on Sustainable Procurement in National University of Singapore (NUS)
Upon the invitation by the National University of Singapore, Dr Stanley Yip, CEO of G1X/NanRise delivered capacity building course on sustainable procurement to two cohorts from the Central Procurement Office at NUS. The focus is to equip the procurement teams in NUS with the needed expertise and knowledge on sustainable procurement practices such as qualifying the suppliers, assessing the carbon footprints of products and the implementation of a sustainable procurement framework for institutes of higher learning. The course was delivered through the NUS Institute of System Services. Using the expertise of Dr. Yip in decarbonization and sustainability, specific focus of the course included the management of scope 3 emissions and the supply chains, as well as the identification of sources of databases and principles of carbon accounting to support the procurement team in developing ability to assess the sustainability data and information provided by the suppliers.
